Cluj-Napoca is hosting Group D matches of the 2026 EuroVolley European Men's Volleyball Championship. Romania faced Latvia at BT Arena in the opening match, and the national team has more games to play on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Mayor Emil Boc has urged Cluj residents to support the national team at the matches in BT Arena Multifunctional Hall. Group D also includes other strong teams: France, Germany, Switzerland and Turkey. According to the mayor, the top four teams in the group qualify for the elimination phases of the competition.
Cluj-Napoca municipality supports the Romanian Volleyball Federation with 600,000 lei for organizing the competition. Children up to six years old benefit from free access to EuroVolley 2026 matches.
