What we collect

  • Email address. Required to send you the letter.
  • Country, region, timezone, output language, delivery hour. You give us these in onboarding and we use them to build your daily digest.
  • Entity trackers (Plus+). A list of names or keywords you want surfaced when they appear in news.
  • Family seat emails (Plus+).Email addresses of family members you've invited.
  • Billing identifiers (paid tiers). Stripe customer ID and subscription ID. Your card is held by Stripe, not us — we never see the number.
  • Magic-link tokens. Short-lived tokens used to sign you into your account from email.
  • Digest history. Each day's curated picks are stored so the web-view link in your email continues to work.

What we don't collect

  • No Google Analytics, Meta pixel, or third-party advertising trackers.
  • No browser fingerprinting.
  • No IP-based geolocation outside of standard Vercel request logs.
  • No reading-behavior tracking on the article links you click.

Vendors that touch your data

  • Vercel — hosts the application, processes inbound requests, retains standard server access logs.
  • Turso — encrypted SQLite database holding your preferences, digest history, and subscription metadata.
  • Resend — sends the daily email letter, retains delivery + open metrics on an aggregate basis.
  • Anthropic (Claude) — receives the curated article candidates (titles + URLs + source language) and your output-language preference to generate the translated headlines and summaries. Your name and email are never sent to Anthropic.
  • Stripe— processes payments and stores billing info for paid tiers. Subject to Stripe's own privacy policy.
  • Microsoft Edge TTS (Concierge tier) — synthesizes audio narration of your digest text. Free service that does not require API authentication.

Why we collect

  • To deliver the daily letter to the right address at the right time.
  • To curate stories relevant to where you're from.
  • To bill you correctly if you're on a paid plan.
  • To investigate delivery failures and abuse.

Retention

We keep your preferences and digest history for the lifetime of your account. If you unsubscribe, we keep the email row marked “unsubscribed” so resubscribing is one click; you can ask us to delete everything by replying to any letter with the word “delete me”.

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data. To exercise any of these, reply to any email or write to hi@gethomefeed.com. We respond within 30 days.
