According to an analysis by the eJobs Romania recruitment platform, Cluj ranks fourth in the ranking of counties with the most intense recruitment activity in 2026. Out of approximately 150,000 job posts at national level, Cluj-Napoca and the surrounding county host a significant number, being surpassed only by Bucharest, Brașov, and Ilfov.

Cluj's position in the ranking has slightly dropped compared to the previous year, being surpassed by Ilfov. However, the average net salary in the county remains competitive. Cluj records an average monthly remuneration of 5,800 lei, ranking second among all analyzed counties, just after Bucharest where the average reaches 6,500 lei.

Sectors with the highest labor demand in Cluj include retail, food industry, services, tourism, financial-banking, and transport/logistics. At national level, the entry-level category represents approximately 60% of the total job offer and has an average salary of 4,000 lei per month.
