Nearly 300 dogs have been adopted in Cluj-Napoca since the beginning of the year
The Stray Dog Management Center, on Bobâlnei Street, found families for 289 four-legged friends in the first nine and a half months of 2026.

Nearly 300 dogs from the Stray Dog Management Center Cluj-Napoca, located on Bobâlnei Street No. 65, have been adopted from the beginning of 2026 until October 15, according to an announcement by Cluj-Napoca City Hall. The institution, together with RADP, ensures medical treatments, deworming, vaccination and microchipping of animals, and recently a socialization space was set up where visitors can meet the dogs before adoption.
The municipality periodically runs the campaign "Adopt a Friend for Life – Cluj Teams Up for Stray Dogs", launched based on a decision of the Local Council. Through this campaign, clubs such as FC Universitatea Cluj and U-BT Cluj-Napoca have become adoption ambassadors, and dogs are presented to the public at events organized at Cluj Arena, BT Arena and "Horia Demian" Sports Hall. The campaign debuted in May, at the match between FC Universitatea Cluj and FC Argeș, when players entered the field accompanied by dogs available for adoption.
