Two new mountain trails open in the Beliș area, in Cluj County
The first circuit, 21 kilometers long, climbs Măgura Călățele, the highest peak in the area, at 1,404 meters altitude.

The first new mountain trails in the Beliș area, Cluj County, will be inaugurated on Saturday, October 24, starting at 9:00 AM, with a meeting in the parking lot in front of Beliș Town Hall. The development was carried out by the Public Service Salvamont Salvaspeo Cluj, together with 60 volunteers from Emerson company in Cluj.
The first trail, marked with a blue dot, starts from the center of Beliș village, climbs Măgura Călățele, the highest peak in the area, at 1,404 meters altitude, then descends towards Bălcești, passes by the viewpoint at Pipaș peak and follows the shore of Lake Beliș, before returning to the village. It is approximately 21 kilometers long, with an elevation gain of approximately 800 meters and takes 7-8 hours, without requiring specialized equipment.
The second trail, marked with a yellow cross, is a shorter circuit, 7-8 kilometers, with reduced difficulty level, located within the first circuit and including the same viewpoints from Pipaș and the lake shore. At the inauguration, mountain rescuers will guide a tour on the short circuit, and the event is pet friendly.
