Over 100 local producers at the Autumn Festival in Cluj-Napoca

At the "Romulus Vuia" Ethnographic Park in Cluj-Napoca, the festival brought together producers, craftspeople and families on Saturday and Sunday evening, in an old-time village atmosphere.

Autumn took on a different scent at the "Romulus Vuia" Ethnographic Park, where the Autumn Festival transformed the alleys into an old-time village, with the smells of must, homemade food and hay. Horses pull carts among traditional houses, and children run between bales of hay.

Almost a hundred local producers brought vegetables, cheeses, meat, milk, wine, must and homemade sweets to their stalls, including artisanal chocolate. Visitors can talk directly with those who grew or prepared the products.

The mayor of Cojocna commune, Anca Marcu, a partner in organizing the event, remarked on the influx of children and the diversity of products brought by producers from the entire area. PSD deputy from Cluj, Remus Lăpușan, a supporter of the festival, said that the event supports local producers and spoke about the need for economic growth based on Romanian production.

Besides the stalls, children can try pottery, watch small animals and take rides in carts pulled by horses. The festival ends Sunday evening.
