Compact band was founded in 1977 in Cluj-Napoca, founded by guitarist Costi Cămărășan and bassist Teo Peter, but shaped its rock identity only in 1981, with the arrival of vocalist Paul Ciuci. Among the best-known songs are "Girl from a Dream", "Song for Friends" and "The Lost Train".

In 1988, the band split into two branches: Compact B, in Bucharest, led by Teo Peter and Leluț Vasilescu, with Adrian Ordean and Leo Iorga, and Compact C, in Cluj, led by Costi Cămărășan. Paul Ciuci returned in 1996 next to Teo Peter, who died in 2004, at age 50, in a car accident in Bucharest.

Children under 5 have free access if held in an adult's arms, and those 5 years old and over pay full price.

For Cluj natives who left the city, the concert brings back into focus a band born right in Cluj-Napoca, whose songs accompanied several generations of listeners.
