Deep Purple returned to Romania and held a concert Thursday evening at BT Arena in Cluj-Napoca, in front of an audience made up of multiple generations. The evening was opened by British band Jayler, with a sound focused on hard rock.

The concert was part of the "=1 More Time Tour", through which the band combined classic songs with material from the album "=1", released in 2024. On stage were both the hits that made the band famous, and newer songs, maintaining the powerful riffs and instrumental passages specific to Deep Purple's sound.

One of the most anticipated moments was "Smoke on the Water", released in 1972, which the audience sang along with the band. Other songs that marked the evening were "Highway Star" and "Child in Time", the latter rediscovered in recent years by a younger audience thanks to the "Stranger Things" series.

For someone from Cluj living far from the country, the concert shows that the city continues to host major names from the international rock scene, and BT Arena remains a landmark for such events.
