Geaca commune hosted on Sunday, September 27, 2026, Harvest Day, an event dedicated to local traditions, indigenous products and the community. The event was organized by Geaca Orthodox Parish in collaboration with Cluj County Council, Geaca Gymnasium School and Orthodox Philanthropy Association – Gherla Branch.

The day's program started at 10 o'clock with Divine Liturgy at the "Dormition of the Mother of God" Church in Geaca, followed from 12 o'clock by participants being invited to an outdoor meal. The organizers had prepared activities for the entire community, including games, workshops and surprises for children, as well as an exhibition with sale of local products.

Despite the drought that year, farmers from the area around the fish ponds had a good harvest of both vegetables and fruits. Visitors had the opportunity to discover and buy products specific to the area and enjoy the atmosphere of a traditional autumn celebration.

Among the announced activities were also free testing of blood glucose and blood pressure, an initiative aimed at encouraging attention to health. For those interested, organizers also prepared carriage rides.
