The 8th edition of the Silvoiței Festival opened its doors on Saturday in the heart of Băbuțiu village in Vultureni commune, Cluj County, promising an authentic weekend full of flavor and tradition. The event takes place September 19-20, 2026.

Over 1,000 people came on the first day, taking advantage of good weather. Children of all ages, parents, and grandparents gathered in nature for an authentic village experience.

The festival, born from passion for rural life and handmade work from the heart, remains true to its roots: local, honest, and non-commercial. The event has established itself as a landmark for those seeking authentic rural experiences, with autumn atmosphere, decorations of hay, wood and clay, outdoor activities, and silvoiță simmering slowly in traditional cauldrons.

Food is prepared on-site by locals and includes gulyás, pies, donuts, boiled corn, live silvoiță, and other traditional dishes. Participants can enjoy competitions and activities for children, creative workshops with clay and painting, rides on little tractors or carts, zip-lining, horseback riding, archery, giant climbing panels, labyrinths, and hay bales for running.

The festival runs from 10:00-18:00.
