According to the Cluj County Statistics Directorate, the average net salary in the county reached 6,952 lei in July. This represents an increase of 91 lei compared to June and 256 lei compared to July 2025, meaning an annual increase of approximately 3.8%.

Cluj ranks second in the county earnings ranking after net average salary, with Bucharest in first place at 7,469 lei and Timiș in third with 6,202 lei. The average net salary in the county exceeds the national average of 5,820 lei by 1,132 lei, or almost 19.5%.

By sector of activity, in services Cluj ranks second after Bucharest with an average net salary of 7,445 lei in July. In industry and construction, average net salaries in the county are lower than in Argeș, Bucharest and Sibiu. Differences between counties remain substantial, however, with Teleorman recording the lowest average net earnings of 4,252 lei.

Average gross salary in Cluj also increased in July to 11,634 lei, with 144 lei above June's level and 424 lei more than the previous year.
