Mayor Emil Boc announced that six bids have been submitted for the tender for lot VI of the Cluj metropolitan ring road, with the submission deadline of September 21, 2026. The bids come from various companies and consortiums, including SEZA INSAAT SANAYI VE TICARET, an association with CONSTRUCȚII ERBAȘU and PROCONS GROUP, as well as five other groups of builders.

The current status of the tenders for the Cluj metropolitan ring road is as follows: five bids for lot II, one bid for lot III, seven bids for lot IV, five bids for lot V and six bids for lot VI.

According to the mayor, after the completion of the Cluj-Florești section, the administration continued the legal procedures for the tender for the following lots. Boc stated that the evaluation of bids and the designation of winners will follow, affirming that the administration will realize the metropolitan ring road project no matter how difficult it may be.

Previously, the mayor announced that lots 2, 3 and 4 of the metropolitan ring road, which cover the ring above Florești, crossing DN1 through Bună Ziua and going to Borhanci, have received bids.
