Caiac SMile Association returned to the Romanian seaside for the third consecutive year with a program dedicated to people with disabilities. Throughout August, the main project base was at Eforie South, where beneficiaries had free access to adapted equipment and sports and recreational activities.

Among the beneficiaries were children from special schools and kindergartens in Cluj-Napoca, rewarded last year at the Cluj Superheroes Gala 2025. For them, their seaside vacation was a continuation of a story that began when they took the stage at the Gala and were celebrated for their courage and perseverance.

The program reached 20 accessible beaches, where people with disabilities could benefit from facilities and adapted equipment for free. Beneficiaries were able to use floats and equipment for water access, adapted kayaks, jet skis, inflatable mattresses, water and sand bikes, boats and rickshaws adapted for children with disabilities. For the first time, people with disabilities had the opportunity to try parasailing and skydive in tandem through the "I Can Too" project.

Emerson Romania supported the project through financing. Vacation vouchers offered to Cluj Superheroes Gala winners and financing for participation on the coast transformed the company's support into concrete experiences. Ionuț Stancovici, president of Caiac SMile Association, emphasized that accessibility is not limited to physical infrastructure, but also includes the possibility for people to get there and enjoy experiences that a vacation offers.

At Eforie South, the team was accompanied by several organizations and associations working with people with disabilities, from both Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
