Mayor Emil Boc invited Cluj residents to participate in Urban Playfield, an event with sports and activities for all ages that will take place on Sunday, September 13, on Mihail Kogălniceanu and Universității streets in Cluj-Napoca. The event brings several types of sports and activities dedicated to both children and adults.

The mayor encouraged families, parents, grandparents and friends to participate, noting that it does not matter how skilled you are at sports. He emphasized that what is important is to take the first step and move together with loved ones. Boc mentioned that Urban Playfield offers children the opportunity to discover sports and families the opportunity to spend time together outdoors.

The mayor described the event as having "all the ingredients for a beautiful day, regardless of weather: sports, music, good atmosphere, friendship and a city that is on the move".

Urban Playfield started in Cluj-Napoca in 2024 and later expanded to other cities in the country. The event is supported through non-reimbursable financing from Cluj-Napoca City Hall and Local Council. The detailed program of activities can be consulted on the Urban Playfield page.
