The "Avram Iancu" Emergency Situations Inspectorate of Cluj County organizes on Sunday, September 13, the Firefighters' Day events in Central Park "Simion Bărnuțiu" in Cluj-Napoca. Activities will be available between 10:00 and 20:00.

The program includes an exhibition of modern intervention equipment and workshops for children. Visitors can see the equipment used by firefighters and learn how they act in emergency situations. Children will be able to discover in detail the tools and working techniques of firefighters.

In the same place, the Resuscitation Marathon takes place, an initiative of volunteer doctors and paramedics SMURD Cluj, with the support of ISU Cluj and the Emergency Reception Unit of Cluj County Emergency Clinical Hospital. Instructors will show participants how to recognize cardiac arrest, how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers and how to use an automated external defibrillator. These activities are also open to people without prior medical training.

Firefighters' Day is celebrated annually on September 13, in memory of the battle on Dealul Spirii in 1848, in which the company of firefighters led by Captain Pavel Zăgănescu participated.
