The document, valid until April 30, 2027, provides for over 36,000 tons of materials, including salt and calcium chloride, for 1,240 kilometers of roads.

Cluj County Council has approved the Operational Action and Intervention Plan for winter on county roads, valid until April 30, 2027. The document classifies the entire network, of approximately 1,240 kilometers, on four viability levels, establishing the order and timing of intervention, necessary operations, and quantities of materials used.
To combat ice and frost, 36,000 tons of materials have been provided: 21,000 tons of anti-slip materials, 12,600 tons of salt, and 2,500 tons of calcium chloride, quantities that can be supplemented as needed. Snow removal companies will install over 25,800 meters of snow fences in areas exposed to snow accumulation.
Chairman of the County Council Alin Tișe stated that concluding contracts with service providers and approving the plan are essential steps for managing roads in the cold season and specified that interventions will be monitored by GPS to ensure good driving conditions on county roads.
