Nicolae Stanciu has decided to return to Romania, to FCSB or U Cluj
The 33-year-old midfielder, whose contract with Chinese club Dalian Yingbo expires in December, would have to choose between FCSB and University Cluj.

Nicolae Stanciu, registered since 2026 at Dalian Yingbo, would have to choose between FCSB and University Cluj, with the Transylvanian club being, according to the latest information, favored to obtain his signature. Although the footballer initially offered priority to the Chinese club, the desire to be closer to family could influence his decision to return to the Superliga, after leaving Romania in 2016.
If the transfer to University Cluj is confirmed, Stanciu would be expected to receive a monthly salary of 30,000 euros and a signing bonus of 100,000 euros, according to digisport.ro. The sum is considerably less than the approximately two million euros per season his current contract in China would bring him.
University Cluj also wants to sign defender Andrei Burcă, and the club's president, Radu Constantea, stated that there is no agreement yet. According to him, Stanciu and Burcă still have four matches to play in the Chinese league, and their final decisions will depend on discussions with their current teams.
"We have our arguments too, if they decide to return. In the end, it's up to their decision whether to continue in China or not," said Radu Constantea.
