U-Banca Transilvania meets Lithuanian team BC Šiauliai away, in the third round of Group B in BKT EuroCup. Coach Mihai Silvășan has the entire squad available, except for Dušan Beslać, and expects a difficult match against a well-organized Lithuanian team.

Kristian Kullamäe said that defense and concentration throughout all 40 minutes will be essential to achieve victory, in a match where the declared objective of the Cluj team is to win the game.

BC Šiauliai has, like U-BT, one victory and one defeat after the first two rounds of EuroCup: it defeated London Lions at home, score 74-71, and lost away to Skyliners Frankfurt, score 71-79. In the Lithuanian championship, the team is in third place, with three victories and two defeats in five games.

The main scorer for the Lithuanians is American Cedric Henderson Jr., former player at CSM Constanța, with averages of 17 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3 assists per game. The two clubs have had common players over time, including Osby Bambale and Vaidas Kariniauskas.

Šiauliai returned to this season in EuroCup after a 16-year break, with its last appearance in the competition in December 2010.
