Alisia Perșa, 20 years old, from Cluj-Napoca, won the gold medal in the Silver Level category at the 2026 World Junior Fitness Challenge Championship, a competition held in Čačak, Serbia, between October 9 and 11. Romania obtained two medals at this championship, the other being the silver won by Bianca Larisa Berbecaru in the Bronze Level category, according to the Romanian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation.

The athlete has been practicing calisthenics for eight years, a discipline in which she became a two-time world freestyle champion, and began preparing for fitness challenge only six months ago, under the guidance of coach Dan Pandelea, before the National Championship in May. She said that the biggest challenge was keeping up with both sports and adapting to the endurance required by fitness.

Fitness challenge involves a circuit with six exercises, in which athletes try to accumulate as many correct repetitions as possible in two minutes at each event, the ranking being established by adding them up, on three difficulty levels: Bronze, Silver and Gold.

Alisia mentioned the support of her family and coach Tiberiu Băiță, who made his training facility available to her. In three weeks, the athlete is set to participate in the World Championships in Spain, alongside the national bodybuilding and fitness team, a competition she considers the real challenge.
