Athletes from Cluj won three medals at the Taekwon-Do World Cup
In Benidorm, Spain, five athletes from the club competed alongside over 2,700 athletes from 57 countries at the 2026 World Cup.

Athletes from Delta Taekwon-Do Academy Cluj-Napoca won three medals at the 2026 Taekwon-Do World Cup, held in Benidorm, Spain, where over 2,700 athletes from 57 countries competed. The Cluj club was represented by five athletes.
The best result was achieved by Alexandru Danciu, who won the silver medal in the Special Techniques event, with 96 competitors, after losing the final to an athlete from Ukraine. Danciu also won a bronze medal in Tull, in an event with over 170 competitors, and in Combat he placed 17th out of 52.
Mark Rus won the bronze medal in Combat, after defeating a competitor from Ireland and one from Romania, being eliminated in the semifinals by another Irish athlete. He also competed in Tull, his debut event at this level of competition.
Kahler Bogdan and Dragoș Dascăl each placed fifth in Combat, the -55 kilogram category, out of a total of 34 competitors. Dascăl finished 17th in Tull, and Alexandru Săbău passed two rounds before being eliminated.
Coach Mureșan Alexandru stated that the most valuable thing from the competition was the fact that the athletes fought until the end, and the experience gained will help them in preparation for future competitions.
