The National Ethnographic Park "Romulus Vuia" in Cluj-Napoca, Romania's first open-air museum, is now entirely lit through a photovoltaic system. The investment was carried out by the Transylvanian Ethnographic Museum, an institution under the authority of Cluj County Council, to increase visitor safety and comfort.

The new system includes 180 mobile and reconfigurable 25W solar LED poles, 20 solar projectors, and 20 installations of bulbs and solar garlands. The total value of the investment is 107,000 lei, money from the Cluj County Council budget.

The President of Cluj County Council, Alin Tișe, stated that the investment contributes to highlighting the cultural and tourist objective, and the museum manager, Tudor Sălăgean, specified that the SanSat event, organized on September 26, was the first to benefit from the new lighting.

In the first nine months of 2026, the park was visited by over 50,000 people, and the average annual number of visitors has increased by over 20% in the last five years. Also this year, the museum prepared documentation for a fire detection system at the Icon Workshop in Piața Ștefan cel Mare.
