The Government distributed, through a decision adopted on September 24 and published in the Official Monitor, the sum of 7.55 million lei to public spectacle institutions in Cluj County. The money comes from revenues collected in the period June 1 - August 31, 2026 and is intended exclusively for financing theaters, operas and philharmonics under the authority of local authorities.

The Transylvania State Philharmonic, under the authority of the Cluj County Council, receives the largest sum - 5,368,491.83 lei, or approximately 71% of the total allocation for the county. The "Puck" Puppet Theater in Cluj-Napoca receives 1,183,062.59 lei, and the National Theater "Aureliu Manea" in Turda, 1,003,170.21 lei.

This is the second substantial tranche this year: in June, the three institutions received almost 13.2 million lei, of which 9.34 million lei went to the Philharmonic. Combined, the two allocations from 2026 amount to approximately 20.75 million lei for Cluj institutions.

At the national level, the total sum distributed is 142.76 million lei, with the largest sums going to institutions in Craiova, Sibiu and Brașov. According to the decision, the money must be included in local budgets through rectification, and the Ministry of Development has five days from the publication of the act to transfer the amounts.
