The State Philharmonic Orchestra of Transilvania in Cluj-Napoca inaugurates Friday, September 25, the 2026/2027 season with a program comprising early music, symphonic concerts, contemporary creations and jazz. The new season includes 33 concerts, including chamber recitals, and subscriptions include ensembles such as the Arcadia Quartet.

The institution's leadership has prioritized accessibility for children and young people, both as audience and as performers. The season includes concerts dedicated to them and projects that will allow young musicians to appear as soloists. Collaboration with the Gheorghe Dima National Academy of Music allows students and graduates to perform in the Philharmonic's professional orchestra.

The Autumn Musical Cluj Festival will run between October 9 and 23, and conductor Gabriel Bebeșelea will return to the season. Unlike previous editions, the Mozart Festival will be in a more restricted format.

A major event of the season is the International Classical Music Awards Gala on April 9, 2027, which brings to the audience artists and ensembles awarded by the ICMA jury, alongside representatives of the international music industry. Nominations will be made in the coming period, with winners announced in February.

The Philharmonic intends to strengthen the bond between stage and audience through the reopening of the lounge, where the public will be able to meet the musicians. The institution's leadership announced that subscriptions for the new season are already on sale.
