The "Puck" Puppet Theater in Cluj-Napoca marks the beginning of the new 2026-2027 season with the premiere of "The First Man", a concert-spectacle based on the myth of Prometheus. The spectacle will have its indoor premiere at the theater's headquarters on Sunday, September 13, at 11 o'clock, after being previously presented as an outdoor premiere on the stage on Universității Street, as part of the WonderPuck Street Festival.

The spectacle is inspired by Greek mythology and explores the theme of autonomy and responsibility. The direction and authority of music and verses belong to Cristina Juncu, who describes the story as a game of "good cop – bad cop" between the first Parents of Man in the history of the world – all-powerful and immortal, yet as frightened of the future as any adult who has to shape something small, unpredictable and adorable. The spectacle is presented in Romanian and has a recommended minimum age of ten years.

The cast includes actors Ion Iurcu, Ionuț Constantinescu, Robert Trifan, Andra Cotiușcă, Andreea Bolovan and Iulian Lungu. The scenography is created by Denisa Berceanu, with assistance from Zoltan Zelenyak. Lighting design and orchestration assistance are provided by Alexandros Raptis.

"The First Man" will also have a performance on Tuesday, September 15, at 5 p.m. On Saturday, September 12, at 11 o'clock, the spectacle "Plüm-Plüm kalandjai"/"The Adventures of Plüm-Plüm", directed by Ibolya Varga, will be presented. This is presented in Hungarian, with a recommended minimum age of three years, and is full of unexpected events presented with touches of absurd humor.

Tickets for Saturday and Sunday performances cost 48 lei for adults, 24 lei for pensioners and 12 lei for preschoolers, students and pupils.
