Cluj-Napoca hosts Group D matches of the Men's European Volleyball Championship at BT Arena. This edition marks Romania's return as host country of a European Volleyball Championship, after an absence of 63 years.
Mayor Emil Boc emphasized the importance of the event for the city, recalling that Cluj-Napoca had previously hosted matches from the Women's European Volleyball Championship in 2021. The municipality supports the competition with an allocation of 600,000 lei from the local budget, transferred to the Romanian Volleyball Federation.
Local authorities prioritized youth and children's participation in the event. Children up to 6 years old benefit from free admission to the competition matches.
