The fine print
Terms of service
LAST UPDATED · MAY 2026
Who we are
Homefeed is a daily email digest of localized news, operated as a small independent project. By using the service you agree to the terms below. If something doesn't work for you, reply to any email and we'll figure it out.
What you get
A daily email letter at the time and timezone you select, with 5 to 10 news stories from your hometown or country of choice, translated into your preferred language, curated by AI. Free, Plus, and Concierge tiers carry different feature sets; see the pricing page for the current breakdown.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans renew automatically at the price displayed at signup. New paid subscriptions begin with a 7-day free trial; we don't charge until day 8. You can cancel any time via your account page — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and we will not pro-rate refunds for partial months. Failed payments retry per Stripe's standard dunning schedule; access downgrades to Free if recovery fails.
Refunds
We don't offer refunds for partial periods. If something is broken on our end (digest not delivered, billing error, subscription botched), reply to any email and we'll make it right.
Acceptable use
Don't scrape the service, don't resell the digest text, don't use the email infrastructure to relay messages to unconsenting recipients. Family sharing is for actual family members or close friends — five accounts per household, not a fifty-person Slack channel.
Content and copyright
Stories surface headlines, a short paraphrased summary, source attribution, and a link to the original publisher. We do not reproduce full articles. If you are a publisher and want us to stop linking to your outlet, reply to any email or write to hi@gethomefeed.com and we will remove the source from our index.
AI-generated content
Headlines and summaries are written by Claude (Anthropic). We do our best to keep them faithful to the source, but AI translation and summarization can introduce errors. Always click through to the original publisher before acting on a story (especially financial, legal, or medical content).
Service availability
Best-effort delivery. We use Vercel for hosting, Turso for the database, and Resend for email send. If any of those vendors have an outage, your digest may be delayed or skipped. We do not credit accounts for missed days but we will fix the root cause.
Termination
You can stop the service at any time by unsubscribing from the email footer or from your account page. We can terminate accounts that abuse the service, violate copyright, or attempt to charge back legitimate payments.
Liability
Homefeed is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we make material changes we will email you at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Homefeed's operating entity is registered. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you a non-waivable right to local courts.
