U-Banca Transilvania faces an important test in the third round of the Adriatic League. On Sunday, October 11, the team led by Mihai Silvășan will meet BC Dubai, the competition's champion in the previous season, starting at 1:00 PM, at BTarena. Clujeans will play in pink jerseys, as part of a campaign to raise awareness in the fight against breast cancer.

It will be the third direct confrontation between the two teams, after two matches in the previous season won both by BC Dubai: 81-77 away and 110-93 at home. The United Arab Emirates-based team, founded in 2023, won the Adriatic League in the previous season and has in its squad names such as Dzanan Musa, Aleksa Avramovic, Dwayne Bacon and Filip Petrusev, recently reinforced with Elie Okobo, Jaron Blossomgame and Tornike Shengelia, under the leadership of Spanish coach Xavi Pascual.

In the current EuroLeague season, BC Dubai has defeated Real Madrid and Barcelona, but lost to Fenerbahce and Red Star Belgrade. In the Adriatic League, it debuted with a clear victory on the field of Perspektiva Ilirija.

Coach Mihai Silvășan emphasized that this is the team's first match of the season against a EuroLeague team and that U-BT will try to take its chance for victory, taking advantage of the home court advantage.
