U-BT Cluj is preparing for the start of the new basketball season, with the first official test being the EuroCup match against Italian team Maxima Roma. The match comes after the team's debut in the ABA League was postponed, giving the squad a few extra days of preparation.

Coach Mihai Silvășan expressed satisfaction with the preparation period, although he acknowledges that integrating the 11 new players in the squad takes time. "At every friendly match we had at least two players missing, but that's part of the sport. I'm satisfied with the preparation period, the team shows great desire to work", said the coach.

Silvășan emphasized that the process of homogenizing the squad is one that takes time, but that the goal is for the team to reach its best possible form by the official debut. The coach also thanked supporters for the large number of season tickets sold, a sign, he says, of the support received from the Cluj public, adding that the new squad was designed to be more athletic at all positions.
