Andrei Burcă has agreed to sign with Universitatea Cluj. The 33-year-old defender will leave Yunnan Yukun at the end of the year and return to Romania. From January 2027, he will play for the team coached by Cristiano Bergodi.

Burcă will not be experiencing Cluj for the first time. Between 2019 and 2023, he played for CFR Cluj, where he won three championship titles and one Super Cup. After that he was in Saudi Arabia at Al Okhdood and then in China.

Last summer, negotiations between Universitatea Cluj and Burcă did not reach an agreement. Now, he will arrive as a free agent. The management of the club at Cluj Arena has wanted him for some time. Yunnan Yukun's last match of the season will take place on November 22.

At Universitatea Cluj, Burcă will be teammates with Nicușor Stanciu, whom he met during his time in China. Burcă's transfer is the second that Universitatea Cluj has completed in 24 hours, after Stanciu also reached an agreement with the team's management.
